[+]Do you provide tours of the Apartments?

During the academic year, usually all units are occupied.  Therefore, tours would only be given during the summer, and then by appointment only.  Students and parents interested in a tour may send an email 1-2 business days in advance to info@millenniumhall.com.  Tours would be given Monday through Friday between 10am and 4pm.

Under the "ABOUT" Millennium tab of our website there are photos of the building and units for you to view.  Under "Learn More" (on right) there is a  Virtual tour along with Floorplans of the  Apartments.

[+]What about Parking?

 Parking through Millennium:

You can send your request to be added to the Millennium Hall Parking Permit Wait List via email to info@millenniumhall.com. Because Millennium Hall has 175 parking spots for 420 residents, priority is given 2009-2010 residents who renew their housing for the 2010-2011 academic year. If any permits remain, we will offer those new residents on the wait list by way of a lottery. The cost for 2010-2011 Millennium Hall Parking Permits will be available over the summer and will mirror the cost for a campus parking permit. Please understand that it is unlikely that you will receive a parking permit offer through Millennium, but if you are offered a spot, you will be notified in August 2010, via email.

Parking through Towson University:

Due to the limited availability of spaces on campus, Millennium Hall residents (with 30+ credits) who are unable to purchase a Millennium Hall Parking Permit may be eligible to purchase a Towson Center parking permit. For more information, please visit the Towson University Parking and Transportation Services website (www.towson.edu/parking) or call 410-704-7275 (PARK).

*Students who have not received a permit from Millennium Hall or Towson University may not park a vehicle on the campus!!!

[+]What if I received a Millennium Hall Parking Permit?

Here are the 2010- 2011 (Academic Year) PARKING PERMIT GUIDELINES for RESIDENTS WITH A MILLENNIUM HALL PARKING PERMIT:

Your permit must be displayed properly at all times when parked in the Millennium Hall lots.  Millennium Hall Parking Permits must hang unobstructed from your rearview mirror, facing outward.  You will be towed even if your permit is on the dashboard, seat, or floor of the vehicle.

The MH Parking Permit is only valid for the Millennium Hall lots (the two lanes in the front of the building and the two lanes closest to the building in the rear).  Parking in visitor, handicapped, and reserved spaces will result in the vehicle being towed.

Permits may not be passed between vehicles.  Violators will have parking privileges revoked (with no refunds) and vehicle towed.

Reproduction of the MH Parking Permit is prohibited.  Violators will be towed and face criminal action.

A limited number of Temporary Parking Permits are available in the Main Office, Monday through Friday (9 AM - 5 PM).

POLLARD’S TOWING

Let’s face it, towing companies make their money by removing unauthorized vehicles from protected lots.  If you are towed for any reason, you will not receive reimbursement so don’t put yourself at risk.  Towing is enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in our lots.  If towed, contact Pollard’s Towing at 410-823-1808.

When towing enforcement is suspended, notices will be posted at entrances / exits, at mailboxes, and at the Main Office.

[+]Can I use Financial Aid to pay for my rent at Millennium?

Financial Aid and loans can be used to pay for your housing at Millennium Hall. However, you must notify Financial Aid that Millennium Hall is on-campus housing, but privately owned and managed.

You will need to contact the Financial Aid Office (410-704-4239) to find out what will be covered under your award package. If funds are there, we won’t expect your rental payment until you receive your rebate check, provided you submit the Millennium Hall Financial Aid Agreement (available under the Application/ Forms tab of our website), documentation of your aid, and the anticipated date that the funds will be available. You must provide to Millennium Hall official documentation (copy of award letter / printout of Online Services award page) to confirm your award. Otherwise, you will be subject to a five percent (5%) late fee for not paying your rent on time. Please complete and submit the Financial Aid Agreement to Millennium Hall, not Towson University.

Any Towson University based expenses being covered by financial aid will be applied directly by the University. You will then be issued a rebate check for any remaining amount that you can use to pay for your rent. The Financial Aid Office doesn’t pay Millennium Hall directly

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 443-275-4050 or info@millenniumhall.com

[+]What if I sign a license for Millennium and later decide I do not want to live there?

Applicants have 48 hours from the time they sign the license to cancel it.  After 48 hours residents will be responsible for finding a replacement applicant to take responsibility for the same license length as the original resident.

[+]What about doing laundry?

The laundry facility is on the first floor of the building and accepts quarters or TU OneCards to activate the washers and dryers.  To add value to your OneCard, visit the OneCard website at www.towson.edu/adminfinance/auxservices/onecard/.  Any service related issues can be addressed by calling Towson University's Auxiliary Services at 410-704-5328.  There is a Change machine for your convenience on the first floor as well that accepts $1's and $5's.

[+]What is the deal with the phone, cable and internet?

[+]How can I get more involved at Millennium?

One way to get the most of your college experience is to get involved.  University Residence Government (URG) is a great way to promote a positive living and learning environment, work cooperatively with others and have fun.

All residents are automatically members of this organization.  Building Councils form at the beginning of the fall semester and work throughout the year with URG.  Ask any staff member for more information.

[+] Tell me about the Community Center.

At the Community Center, residents may sign out vacuums, carts, games and/ or obtain spare keys in the event of a lock out.

The Community Center provides students with on campus directory information, checks IDs and registers guests, aids in emergency and maintenance situations, and provides reference materials on campus resources.

[+]What does the Residence Life Coordinator and Resident Assistants do?

Resident assistants (RAs) promote interaction among residents on their floors and within the campus community, and encourage an appreciation of diversity among residents.  RAs serve as role models, and resources.  They also meet with students and assist in enforcing university policies.

The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) is a part of the professional staff of the Department of Housing and Residence Life.   The RLC lives on site and supervises the RAs.  The RLC serves to promote a residential living environment that fosters academics and personal growth in a caring, diverse, safe, clean, and well-maintained community.
