[+]How do I clean if my Roommate hasn't checked out yet?
In the event that only one or two current residents are moving out of the apartment: 1. Residents moving out are responsible for thoroughly cleaning their bedroom and any storage spaces used in the bathroom, kitchen, and living room in order to make room for new apartmentmates’ belongings. 2. Common areas should be left in an orderly and sanitary condition. Remember, room inspections take place 1-3 days after you check out, and it will be obvious if the kitchen, living room, and bathroom have not been cleaned. Make sure that it is as presentable as you would like it if you were just moving in. 3. Residents wishing to avoid cleaning fees upon vacancy of a bedroom should take pictures and/or document in writing any concerns, including the extent to which the common areas were cleaned before checking out.
[+]Check-Out Process
Please complete the Express Check-Out envelope upon checkout. Envelopes are available at the Main Office. Your RA should have envelopes as well. You will need to make sure you apartment is cleaned prior to leaving so that you and your roommates aren't assessed any cleaning charges. Please refer to the Checkout Checklist regarding preparing your apartment for checkout. You will need to put your keys and Millennium Hall Parking Permit (if applicable) in the Express Check-Out Envelope. You'll need to put your forwarding address on the front of the envelope (for Millennium Hall's records). In addition, you will need to fill out the "Moving? Let Us Know?" card for forwarding your mail. The "Moving?" card may be placed in the Outgoing Mailbox and will be forwarded to the University Post Office. The Express Envelope may be placed in the Mis-directed Mailbox so that staff can process your check out. We hope you enjoyed your stay at Millennium!!!
